Make your vote count in the Federal Election on 3 May 2025. 

Together with the Australian Autism Alliance, Amaze is committed to a fairer future for Autistic Australians through accountability and action. 

We call on all parties to commit to invest in targeted reforms and policies that improve choice, equality, life experiences, and outcomes for all Autistic people to thrive. 

We call on them to:  

1. Implement the National Autism Strategy 2025- 2031 in full, introducing an Assistant Minister for Autism and an independent oversight mechanism. 
2. Expand access to autism-informed service through Medicare by removing age caps, and increasing rebates for autism assessments, and cover for neurodivergent-specific therapy options. 
3. Fund the National Roadmap to Improve the Health and Mental Health of Autistic People 2025-2035. 
4. Develop a nationally consistent model for Foundational Supports to cover those who are ineligible for individual NDIS plans and ensure this is in place effectively before it transitions out of the NDIS. 

How can you make your voice heard? 

We encourage you to share Amaze’s social media posts, talk about it with friends and family, and ask election candidates how they are supporting Autistic Australians. 

You can also send your local MP and candidates a letter or email calling for a commitment for action on these reforms and accountability for Autistic Australians. We have a template that you can download and sign and send to your local MP and election candidates.
