Help Shape Our Submission to the Australian Government on Foundational Supports - Amaze

Help Shape Our Submission to the Australian Government on Foundational Supports

Amaze is writing a submission to the Australian Government’s consultation on Foundational Supports.

Foundational Supports refers to a range of general and targeted supports for people with disability outside of the NDIS. You do not need to be a NDIS participant (have a NDIS plan) to receive Foundational Supports.  The NDIS Independent Review recommended that these supports be strengthened to better support all people with disability.

To ensure our submission reflects the perspectives of our community, we invite you to share your thoughts and insights in two ways:

 1. Community Survey

We’ve created a survey designed to inform our submission and highlight the specific needs of Autistic individuals, their families, and carers. The survey will cover topics such as:

  • Access to disability information and support services
  • Experiences with mainstream and community service provider (such as sporting groups, health services or other government services)
  • Barriers faced in accessing mainstream and community services.

The survey will take approximately 20 minutes to complete.

Survey closes on Monday 28th October at 5pm AEST.

2. Focus Group (Paid)

Amaze is also hosting an online Focus Group to hear your perspectives and ideas on these topics.

The Focus Group will take place on Monday, October 28th, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM

If you’d like to participate in the Focus Group, please submit an expression of interest through the link below. Completing this expression will take approximately 5 minutes.

Expressions of Interest close on Thursday 24th October at 12pm AEST. Selected participants will be contacted by Amaze on Thursday 24th October to confirm participation via email.
